There is another aspect of this pond and no of the least: filtration
I remind you that it is about a koï pond of 70 tons.
To filter a pond of this type and without help of plants a consequent filtration and a group of pumping are necessary to nourish the cascade but also the filter, the two pumps separated.
The filtration is installed in a technical local area, situated in basement, it's a gravity filter and it is a filter gravitaire and it is therefore to the level of the water of the pond, the local is covered then by a tile of concrete and will serve in this case, of departure of the cascade but also of support for a house of tea that is not even present
The fact to have all close at hand is a benefit because here the number of floodgates is impressive, there are several sluice gates of bottom indeed, also several distributed skimmers around the pond, but there is also the possibility to pump the higher water in the basin as well as the reject is at variable height, all entries are fitted with floodgates permitting to adjust the rate or to make a selection been / winter according to the need
The filter is composed of two big vortexes of 1.5m of diameter, the vortexes nourish each a filter of three chambers of 4m³. Water filtered of one of the filters multi-chambers is pumped in part to nourish the filter in sand (in pressure)
A battery of UV comes to complete basic material, in this case a filtration on basis of a filter to sand (but without sand) understanding some balls like support of filtration comes to complete the fine filtration of the system. Of course supply in oxygen of the filter is proportioned consequently |
